It has been a while but I tried some Aspenwood again last night. Had great fun, lost one, won two (for kurzicks).
First time I had a Gatekeeper escape on me, he went straigth out to the mine, was fun for a bit. The luxons didnt notice right away that we only had to pick up amber to give it to the gatekeeper, but they got him in the end
Got me back into the Aspenwood mood, gonna try some more tonight

What I think needs to happen, aside from fixing AI bugs:
1. Significantly lengthen 'Carriers Defense' recharge time. Right now, it can literally push you away as fast as you can run back to it. Although it normally only does it twice in a row before doing something else, that is 200dmg + lots of lost time.
2. Make amber not dissappear when it sits on the ground. Then, when gunther won't take your amber because hes being attacked, you can drop it a little up the respawn slope, take care of the problem, and then return to the amber and repair the gate.
Honestly though, my biggest problem with FA on kurzick side is that it isnt as fun as the luxon side. Luxons can win faster by trying to invade a fort. This is fun. For kurzicks to win faster, they have to repeatedly run the same path back and forth to collect amber. This is not fun. You wonder why people don't run amber like they should? Because its boring. Unless your build is specifically made for it, which the vast majority are not, then running amber sucks. Luxons however.. most builds can have fun AND promote their teams win at the same time. Kurzicks.. not so much. You can have fun delaying/stopping the luxons, but you have no enjoyable way to speed up your win.

I dont know about which side has more fun, personally, I like kurzick more, fending off the enemy, teamwork(when you have a decent team), killing off leeroys that go for the jugg, its alot of fun for me.

I've only recently seen Carrier's even go off as often as it does. I used to see it go off like once every 10 games, now it's going off twice per game. Inform your whammos that standing in front of the turtle is retarded, attack it from the side.

With the increasing prominence of bonders, no. Seems like every time I try running something other than my anti-monk build, they get one gate bonder that no one can handle. Most of the warriors on Luxon can't solo a gate or mine, at all. If you're on Luxon and you can't gimp rangers, gimp monks, create tons of minions, break gate bonds very easily, or easily solo mines and gate NPC packs, you're not being particularly helpful these days.

What are you talking about? A bonder can solo this mission... Noone runs counters to this build. You can pretty much heal the Elementalist with the whole team, including 2 Turtles and a couple of Luxon Warriors hitting him, as long as there's noone to counter you.
I got myself 6K faction this night, and lost once. And that was only because I went to get a drink!

Um.....Do you have any clue what you are talking about? I monk the kurzick side all the time and get a lot of anti bonder builds. WotP is becoming rather popular.

If there's no one there to counter you? Perhaps I should spread the word on how easy it is to counter bonders, since all you have to do is deplete their energy (especially by exploiting blessed signet), or wipe the enchants from the gatekeepers when the turtle shoots its BFG.
Elementalist - Rust and Gale
Mesmer - Diversion, Complicate, Shatter Storm, any sort of energy denial
Necro - Well of the Profane, Gaze of Contempt, Wither/Malaise
Ranger - Primal Echoes, Nature's Renewal
Assassin - Expunge Enchantments
Ritualist - Disenchantment
Wow, you easily can pack an I Win Button against bonders with almost any class! Except W/Mo.

As a bonder myself a warrior can still win Scourge healing can complicate matters. And ele can trash a bonder better than that actually. They run upto the gate and put metor and all sorts of other AoE through the gate and smash up the bonder directly. If he drops below 50% hp his life barrier will end. And this will
1: Make target vunerable
2: Slash energy gain from blessed signet.
WotP Is the end of the world for a bonder . Rend enchantments is terriffying aswell. Losing Prot sprit + Life bond + Life barrier + Essence bond
Your 45 energy down and your blessed signet and dwyanas kiss won't work anymore to make a save.

I would say I like to drain a monk's energy to the point where they have to use blessed signet, but of course I have an interupt ready .

LEt me rephrase what I said, pisses everyone off EXCEPT for the people that bring enchantment strip and degen spells. Which is a whole, 1 or 2 out of 10. ;P
